After having to cancel the 2020 Community Read we are happy to announce that we are able to gather together again!
The Community Read strives to bring our community together to read, discuss and celebrate books and writers.
2021 Selection:
THE LAGER QUEEN OF MINNESOTA

Join us for fun activities celebrating our community-wide reading of The Lager Queen of Minnesota. Multiple copies of the book are available for checkout at the Douglas County Library. Please register for these events through Alexandria Community Education at: alexandria.ce.eleyo.com

Community Read: Virtual Author Talk with J. Ryan Stradal
J. Ryan Stradal was born in Waconia and grew up in Hastings, MN. He now lives in Burbank, CA, where he is co-producer and host of the literary/culinary series Hot Dish. The Lager Queen of MN, his second novel, follows his successful debut novel Kitchens of the Great Midwest.
